Digital France 2012

France intends to bring broadband to every French home and business over the next four years. France will launch the world’s fastest broadband satellite in 2010. The 70Gbps KA-SAT satellite, courtesy of Eutelsat and the French government, will bring broadband access to rural communities and unserved areas.

Eutelsat’s satellite broadband service uses Tooway technology, which uses the Ka-band.
