FCC Poised to Approve White Space Broadband

The Federal Communications Commission appears close to approving the use of unlicensed white space within the broadcast spectrum. The expected approval at the November FCC meeting could enable faster networks.

France will launch the world’s fastest broadband satellite in 2010. The 70Gbps KA-SAT satellite, courtesy of Eutelsat and the French government, will bring broadband access to rural communities and unserved areas.
